Department Liaison Network Corner
Welcome to the Department Liaison Network Corner!
The role of the Department Liaison is vitally important to Agencies and Departments to ensure the FI$Cal Project addresses their needs and requirements. The Department Liaison serves as the conduit between State’s impacted stakeholders and the FI$Cal Project. The Liaison provides valuable insight about their Agency or Department’s environment and processes to the project, which will be used to build a quality system that will serve the needs of its stakeholders. Conversely, the Liaison will receive critical project information to share with and help prepare their significant Agency or Department for change.
This page is intended to provide valuable resources for department liaisons to help their department to prepare for and manage the changes that will result from the FI$Cal project.

Department Liaison Resources
Statutes, Regulations and Policies Effort
The purpose of the Statues, Regulations and Policies (SRP) effort is to identify, review and map existing SRPs that could have an impact on, or be impacted by the FI$Cal Project. This effort prepares FI$Cal for requirements validation during the design, development, and implementation (DDI) phase.
The FI$Cal SRP effort has established a central repository of SRPs that govern the state's accounting, budgeting, contracts/procurement and cash management financial processes, collected from various sources. Notices have been sent out to the departments requesting input for any unique SRPs that may have been overlooked. Below are documents and links to be used by departments for collecting SRPs.
SRP Reports - These reports show a collection of identified SRPs
If a department determines that there is an existing SRP that was not captured, enter your unique SRP on the FI$Cal SRP Collection Template and email StatutesRegulationsPolicies@fiscal.ca.gov.
Legacy System Inventory Effort
The purpose of the Legacy System Inventory effort is to help identify and document systems with accounting, budgeting and contract/ procurement functionality statewide.
The FI$Cal team offered six orientation training sessions in the month of December. The documents that were presented during those sessions are available below along with two short video clips explaining the types of data we are collected and demonstrating how to use the questionnaire.
